Cookie Policy

1. About this policy

GeeBird LLC is registered in Colorado, United States, with its registered principal office at 3229 Walnut St Suite 734, Boulder, CO 80301, United States. This policy describes cookies and similar browser storage used by the GeeBird website and workspace, and supplements the Privacy Policy. Cookies are small pieces of data stored by your browser that may be sent with later requests. Local storage and session storage let pages save state in the browser; they are distinct from cookies.

2. Account session cookie

__Host-geebird-account identifies your account session in production; the development environment uses geebird-account. The code sets a 30-day lifetime, HttpOnly and SameSite=Lax, with Secure in production. This is the browser cookie’s configured lifetime, not the retention period for server-side account data or a guarantee that you will remain signed in for 30 days.

3. Current store cookie

theme_assistant_shop remembers the selected Shopify store to support account sign-in and store switching. The code sets a 30-day lifetime, HttpOnly and SameSite=Lax, with Secure in production or an HTTPS configuration. Signing out, clearing browser data or service updates may invalidate or replace it sooner.

4. Google sign-in cookie

geebird-google-flow links and verifies a Google sign-in attempt you initiate. Its configured lifetime is 10 minutes, and it is cleared when the flow succeeds or fails. Google’s own services may use separate cookies governed by Google’s pages, settings and policies.

5. Local and session storage

The website and workspace use localStorage to save appearance preferences (geebird-home-appearance), sidebar collapse state (geebird-sidebar-collapsed) and selected project sections. They use sessionStorage for some interface state within the current tab session. localStorage generally remains until you or the application clear it; sessionStorage generally ends with the tab session. Exact behavior also depends on the browser.

These interface preferences are used only to restore state and do not indicate consent to non-essential technologies. A separate geebird-cookie-consent-v1 record stores cookie choices; its lifetime and controls are described below. Browser storage lifetimes differ from server-side retention periods for projects, logs and backups, which are covered by the Privacy Policy.

6. Third parties, analytics and marketing

Accessing external images, fonts, Google sign-in, Shopify, Pancake or similar services may send network requests to third parties. Some third-party pages or embedded features may use their own cookies or similar technologies. External images and fonts are third-party display content. When you actively use Google sign-in, Shopify or Pancake features, those services process the requests needed to provide them. Please also read their privacy and cookie notices. Our display-content control does not manage storage on third-party websites.

The current cookie panel does not enable analytics or marketing services. Before adding non-essential storage or tracking that legally requires consent, we will update the purpose descriptions, connect the appropriate controls and obtain the required consent. You can withdraw your choice. Viewing this page or continuing to use the website does not constitute that consent. Accepting third-party display content does not authorize the use of your creative content for model training.

7. Managing your choices

On your first visit, you can accept all, reject non-essential content or customize your choice. You can change it at any time through ‘Cookie settings’ in the footer. Until you choose, or if you reject, third-party display images and fonts connected to these controls do not load; local placeholders and system fonts are used instead. Essential sign-in functionality is not controlled by this switch.

Preferences are stored in localStorage as geebird-cookie-consent-v1. The application checks their version and 180-day validity period, and asks again if the record is expired or invalid. Clearing browser data may also trigger another request. If Global Privacy Control (GPC) is detected, non-essential content stays disabled. Analytics and marketing services are not currently enabled through this panel; new services must be connected to the controls separately.

Withdrawing your choice stops subsequent loading of controlled content, but cannot undo requests already sent or automatically clear data on third-party domains. You can also clear site data in your browser settings, which may sign you out or remove preferences. This panel controls only the loading points integrated on our site and does not replace third-party websites’ own privacy settings.

8. Updates and contact details

Version 1.0 of this policy takes effect on October 6, 2026. The periods listed are browser storage lifetimes, not a single retention period for all data. We will update this policy when configurations, integrations or storage purposes change. Material changes will be notified as required, and we will obtain fresh consent where necessary.
